Non-Resident Nepali Association, New Zealand (NRNA NZ) is partnering with all Nepali Community Organisations in New Zealand and the Himalayan Trust to organise ‘Everest Day 2022’. The celebration of Everest day is an initiative to commemorate the anniversary of the remarkable first ascent of Mount Everest on May 29 1953, by Sir Edmund Hillary of New Zealand and Tenzing Norgay Sherpa of Nepal.
This event is an opportunity to recognise the friendship between New Zealand and Nepal forged at the Top of The World 69 years ago and explore areas of common interest in the mountaineering & tourism sector. Every year, the NRNA New Zealand celebrates this event as one of our annual calendar’s key events and festivals. This year Nepalese community throughout New Zealand is joining together to host the Everest Day event in Auckland, Bay of Plenty, Hamilton on Sunday, May 29, Invercargill on Saturday, May 28 and Wellington Parliament Hall on Tuesday, May 31 2022.
Auckland: Sunday, May 29 2022 (3.00 PM – 5.00 PM), 546 Mount Albert Road, Three Kings, Auckland. RSVP @ nrnanzinc@gmail.com
