Research opportunity to identify the major impacts of the COVID -19 pandemic on the Nepali Community in New Zealand

NRNA NZ is offering a one-off research grant of NZD 5000 to Nepali community member(s) willing to conduct research aiming to identify the major impacts of the COVID -19 pandemic on the Nepali Community in New Zealand. All interested candidates can apply for the grant.

Research proposal guidance:
Please write a short, 500 -1000 word max, research proposal to identify the major impacts of the COVID -19 pandemic on the Nepali Community in New Zealand. Your proposal should be in 12-point font, single-spaced, and written in lay English for a general audience under the headings as indicated.

1. Background and significance of the research approach, introduce the topic of the research, and why this research is important.

2. Research question Clearly define the question(s) the research intends to address.
For example: What are the major impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic on Nepalese immigrants in New Zealand?

3. Research design – a brief outline of the potential methodology and methods to be employed in the study Describe which research methodology will likely be employed to answer the research question(s). Depending on your research question(s), this may involve identifying the likely sources of data, and methods used for collecting and analyzing data.

4. Cost outline: For example, travel cost to visiting Nepalese community in New Zealand, Report Writing cost, and expert data analysis cost.

The funding will be approved after the necessary assessment of your proposal from our expert’s panel.
